NACBO: Workforce Innovation through Self-Managed Supports

The Disability Royal Commission started nearly 4 years ago and is now in its final stage. The DRC’s job is to investigate violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation experienced by people with disability. As it prepares its final recommendations, CRU encourages everyone as ordinary citizens to think about what we can do to help make Australia safer and more inclusive for people with disability. This FREE workshop, “Inclusion and Belonging at the local school: the parent advocacy toolkit”, equips families with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for their children’s inclusion at school. You will learn how to identify the most important information to share with your child’s school, get informed on best practice for inclusion and critical policy information (including an overview of the new resourcing model), and most importantly you will gain confidence in communicating effectively with the school.
