Connie Young 1929-2025We were sad to hear of the death of long-term parent advocate, Connie Young from Mackay.As we reflect on her life, we are very grateful for her example and her leadership over so many decades. She and her husband Jim led the way in creating a good life for their daughter in Mackay and generously passed on what they learnt to other families. In addition to her long-term support of CRU, she brought a voice of reason, experience, and common sense to many other state-wide efforts including the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal, the Pave the Way reference group, and Queensland Parents of People with disability .
