CRU Update and Merry Christmas from the Team

Dear Friends and Supporters of CRU,

The holiday season and the cusp of a new year invites reflection on the year that was, and hopes and resolutions for the year to come. The CRU Board and staff team very much appreciates the support we have been shown by our community over the last year. We are pleased and relieved to share that, thanks in no small part to your efforts, CRU’s Information, Linkages and Capacity Building funding that ended in June 2024 was extended to June 2025. We also recently learned that CRU was successful with our application for an NDIA Peer Support and Capacity Building grant that will continue at least until December 2026. While like you, CRU is still navigating an uncertain future, these grants will help to sustain the organisation in the short term. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your assistance and advocacy on CRU’s behalf, your donations and your many kind messages of support.

The first half of 2025 is shaping up to be busy for CRU. You can view our date claimer here to see upcoming events in 2025, and events planned for February are already open for registration. Of course, we particularly hope you will join us at our large gathering in Brisbane on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th March, Building Capacity for Lifelong Inclusion.

For your own looking back and looking forward, our wish for you is some treasured memories and achievements from 2024, and dreams and plans for 2025. We wish you a joyful and restorative Christmas and holiday season, and look forward to working with you in 2025 and beyond.

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE DATES: Please note that the CRU office will be closed from 5pm Friday 20th December and will reopen at 9:00am on Tuesday 7th January 2025.

Best wishes,
Catherine, Danielle (Acting Co-CEOs) & the team at CRU
