Take action – write to Australian Federal & State Building Ministers asking them to make Australian homes accessible for all Australians. The Australian Construction Code needs to change so new Australian homes meet minimum accessibility standards.Last year, governments across the country agreed to make changes to the National Construction Code so that new homes were accessible to all Australians. At the upcoming Building Ministers Meeting, the three million Australians with mobility issues will be watching intently to make sure every government implements these changes as agreed. It’s time to make Australian homes accessible for all Australians.
