Venue Information

Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre (BCEC)

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is located in the riverside South Bank Precinct which has excellent access to all forms of public transport and there is ample parking underneath BCEC.

The location of our events

Both of our events are located on the Plaza Level, which is best accessed from the Grey Street entrance

Both events on Friday are being held in the Plaza Terrace Room

On Saturday we are in rooms P10 and P11.  These are also on the Plaza level and are close to the room used on Friday

The BCEC prides itself as being on the most accessible venues in Brisbane and we have always found this to be the case.

They have a comprehensive Access Guide and you can download the Access Guide from their website, or by clicking on the image to the right.

Amongst many others, this guide includes information on:

  • Accessible seating
  • Accessible toilets
  • Emergencies
  • Food & Beverage

  • Hearing Assistance

CRU has additional information on the venue, parking, transport, accessibility as well as other topics relating specifically to our event in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.

Finding BCEC

The Grey Street entrance of the BCEC is the best entrance to access our events.  This entrance is near the corner of Grey and Russell Streets and is fully accessible, has an information desk and the Olio Cafe and Bar.

There are lifts and escalators that can take you up the rooms we are using and this will be fully signposted.

South Brisbane’ Train Station is 100m from the Grey Street entrance and the Cultural Centre Busway is about 300m away.  The CityCat is a great way to explore Brisbane and the nearest ferry terminal, South Bank 1,  is 400m away.

The information desk can order you a taxi and accessible taxi’s can be boarded from directly outside the Grey Street entrance.

If you are driving in, then the BCEC carpark has an early bird rate of $16 for cars that arrive before 9am and leave between 3-6pm Monday to Friday.  They have more information on the BCEC car park website.

Tickets can be purchased when you board any form of public transport, but if you plan to take a number of train or bus trips it is cheaper if you have a ‘Go Card’.These can be purchased at Train Stations and other locations, see translink website for more information.
