The NDIS: Getting Informed – For people who are blind or have low vision – Coorparoo

Join us for a tailored workshop that will provide information about the NDIS and has been designed to help people who are blind or have low vision to think about how they can best use the opportunities offered by the new scheme. This session will also include a guest speaker, Linda Blaik from Geelong, Victoria, who is using the NDIS and is blind. Having always been offered supports by various vision support organisations, Linda found the process of applying for funding for the first time very different to her previous experiences. Linda is now seeking out the supports suit her lifestyle and ones that make it easy for her to continue her volunteer work, travel and stay connected with her community.
