The NDIS: Getting Informed North Burnett – Eidsvold
February 24, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) starts in North Burnett in July 2018.
The NDIS is a new way of supporting people with a disability across Australia.
Participants will receive flexible funding tailored to their individual goals.
What goals do you have around home, work, or education? How about your friendships and interests?
This workshop provides information relevant to families and people with a disability about the why, when and how of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Queensland, and things they can do now to get ready.
The NDIS provides an important opportunity to “think big” about what a good life looks like for you. While this opportunity sounds promising, navigating any new system can be confusing!
Community Resource Unit Inc (CRU) is running workshops to help rural communities get ready for the NDIS. Come along and hear about the NDIS…
- Share ideas about ways to get ready
- Connect with others who are getting ready
